Ahana B. Murumbi is a Montreal-based writer-director known for crafting bold, thought-provoking narratives that explore blackness, identity, and dysfunction. She has directed and written multiple short films, including award-nominated A Girl Named Abigaël (2024), a finalist for "Best Social Awareness" in South Africa and nominated for "Best First-Time Filmmaker" at Venice Shorts in Los Angeles.







Sylva Marhegane
Sylva Marhegane is a Burundi-based film producer and community organizer whose work centers on storytelling as a tool for social impact and youth empowerment. He is the founder of Prax Community, a creative initiative that supports marginalized children across East Africa. As the producer of A Girl Named Abigaël (2024), Sylva played a key role in shaping the film’s on-site production and team management.
